In December 2017 we announced that the Kent Estates Partnership has been offered £150,000 in funding in response to the Partnership’s One Public Estate Phase 6 bid, £70,000 in repayable grant was offered to the Dartford Town Centre Including Integrated Health & Social Care Campus project and £80,000 in grant funding to the Sittingbourne Civic Quarter Project.
After consultation with the lead partners of the Dartford Town Centre Including Integrated Health & Social Care Campus project it was felt that the offer of a repayable grant would not achieve the benefits that the project needed and so in late January 2018 the repayable grant option was declined.
We are now happy to report that the Central OPE team have secured additional funding for the programme and have offered KEP further grant funding of £145,000 based on the KEP Phase 6 bid. The Dartford Town Centre Including Integrated Health & Social Care Campus project will receive £70,000 and the West Kent Partnership project will receive £75,000. This brings the total OPE grant funding awarded to KEP projects to £225,000.
The outcome of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government’s Land Release Fund was announced in February 2018 and Maidstone Borough Council’s project was awarded £658,000 capital funding to assist in delivering up to 94 homes.
