The Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC) has been set up to facilitate the delivery of a 21st century garden city in North Kent.
The Grove Road area consists of a number of separate sites that have regeneration potential. The Gravesham development plan recognises that this area has the potential for residentially-led regeneration to complement the mixed-use development permitted on the adjacent former Cement works site. The plan identified this as a key site.
The area is a complex one, involving multiple ownerships, and a multidisciplinary team of specialists have been confirmed to lead the master planning exercise and determine the deliverable options for the sites. Funds from a successful One Public Estate bid are being used to aid the completion of this feasibility work.
