Sittingbourne Civic Quarter is being developed jointly by Swale Borough Council, Kent County Council, NHS Swale CCG and Kent Police, with several organisations from the voluntary sector.
The project, which forms a crucial second phase of the Borough Council’s town centre regeneration project, provides an exciting opportunity to combine a number of public and voluntary services within a ‘Civic Quarter’ in Sittingbourne Town Centre. The project will improve efficiencies and deliver surplus land for new housing and mixed use development across the town.
The feasibility and masterplanning work necessary to bring the constituent sites forward will be supported by revenue grant funding from One Public Estate Phase 6, totalling £80,000. This funding will accelerate delivery and help realise early outcomes by allowing partners to jointly procure and fund the work in an integrated way.
